Two months old

Julia is two months old today, and I simply cannot believe that we've had her in our lives for this long. If I felt that Grace was growing up too fast, I feel that feeling much more acutely with Julia. We haven't had her two month appointment yet, but Craig and I guesstimate that she is around 12 pounds and near 24 inches. Growing like a weed is an understatement. She continues to be a really wonderful little baby. She's very vocal, cooing with a sweet voice, and loves to watch her big sister. She is still sleeping very well for a newborn, and I am ever so thankful. Sleep deprivation was a hard thing for me to handle when Grace was a newborn, and Julia has cut me a lot of slack in this department. Obviously, given her weight, she is eating well. We still haven't introduced the bottle, and I really don't foresee doing that anytime soon. Grace's refusal to breastfeed at three months was very difficult (the smart little bugger figured out that bottles are a lot faster than the breast; though to our chagrin she wouldn't drink formula, breast milk in a bottle was her preference). In any case, I will keep Julia attached to the boob as long as possible.

We are looking forward to her two month appointment when we return from Maine. I will be interested to see how much our little bug has actually grown.
