Home

There is no other word in the world that pleases me more. Home. It makes my whole body feel warm. It fills me with contentment. Home. How happy I am to be here.

We arrived in Macon at 4 pm today (after a very long journey, departing Indianapolis at 5 this morning). I have been away so long I have forgotten what my house feels like, smells like, even looks like. Oh, it's good to be here.

While I felt drained during the drive, settling into my house has filled me with energy. There's so much to do. Christmas is around the corner. We have a tree to get, presents to buy, cookies to bake, friends to see, but first I need some sleep. Being the primary caregiver for Grace and Julia for two weeks has left me fatigued (Craig owes me at least fifty more diaper changes). Busy-ness can wait until tomorrow.

Home. I couldn't ask for more.

Welcome home! Nothing says the holidays like Macon's 75 degree weather, huh? Then again, I bet you've had your fill of snow already this year! Can't wait to catch up.

Glad you guys made it home safely! I know what you mean about home - there is nothing quite like it. I hope you get a little bit of time to rest and relax but I doubt it. Maybe after the holidays right! :) I hope you guys are well and I will talk to you soon.
