As we were about to leave the house this afternoon, we overheard a conversation between two resident loonies (and I say loonies with the utmost affection).

Janice: Whatchyou doin?
Bill: You ain't no white people.
Janice: Whatchyou doin?
Bill: You ain't see no white people.
Janice: I say whatchyou doin?
Bill: No way, sir, no way.
Craig: (looks at me across the dash of the van, eyebrows raised) at least some things don't change around here.
