Since we weren't here

Photo from Macon.com

The biggest news to hit Macon didn't seem to directly affect us. For those unaware, a number of tornados ravaged Macon on Mother's Day. Last night we took a tour of some of the hardest hit neighborhoods. Only then did I realize how thankful I should be that our house and our housesitter escaped the storm unscathed.

For additional photos of the damage, go here.

I was looking through the collection of photos on macon.com yesterday, and this picture that you posted made a huge impression on me. Can you believe that there are still pictures on the fridge and a tv on its stand, yet the rest of the home is gone? Unbelievable. We were so lucky. So lucky.

This is incredible! Our friend who lives in Macon was just here in FL and went home on Saturday for Mother's Day. I hope she is okay.

I've been going through your photos - those are two adorable little girls. Their poses make me think their personalities are quite different!

Have a great time with Sarah and Murdoch -
