Greetings from dad. It has been a long time since I checked in with the "Ladybugs" readership. Please accept my sincere apologies. It has been an incredibly busy summer so far. I am teaching a summer course which constitutes cramming a whole 14 week semester into 4.5 weeks. Four days a week I have a 2 hour morning session and a 3 hour afternoon lab session. On top of this I elected to take on a full time research student to mentor. I think I bit off more than I can chew. I just keep thinking how great it would be if I actually had my summer off and could spend my days running Grace and Julia ragged so that dear Ellen could get a break from the normal mommy routine, she certainly deserves one. Maybe next summer....
With that off my chest let me share some fantastic drawings that Grace has produced over the past several weeks. She literally draws on everything with anything. Any little scrap of paper and nub of pigment seem to get used to produce letters or figures. We have so many drawings we don't even know what to do with them. My office is quickly becoming a repository for these. Here are some highlights.

"Bat"

"Poppy not Poopy"
"Sisters 2"

"Sisters 1"

"Grace 1, 2 & 3"

Wow...I am really impressed! Grace needs her own exhibit at an art museum. I love how she draws fingers, and that the bat has a belly button!
