This morning, after depositing Julia with her father at work, I drove to a local jewelers to get a ring re-sized. Julia is a nightmare while shopping--and she's not too great in Craig's office either--but the idea of chasing her between jewelry cases was a bit too much. I think the last time I was in a jewelry store was two weeks before we got married, which means I'm seven years overdue to have my engagement ring checked. Of course, there's also an issue with our wedding bands. Craig and I never had them engraved. If we were to perish in some horribly disfiguring manner, our rings would provide poor identification.

Me: So what do you think? Should we put our initials and the date or something else?

Craig (devilish grin spreading across his face): How about...
