What really bums me out...

Is the lack of candy around here. As much as I like halloween, I wasn't crushed that we didn't go trick or treating. I've had my hands full with sick kids, finding time to work, cleaning sticky surfaces, the usual. By the time Saturday came around I was working on a sore throat and stressing about Monday (today, which went well thanks to my child wrangling husband), so it wasn't until this afternoon, when I got a hankering for hunk of chocolate, that it hit me: We have NO CANDY.

Now I have to rifle through Grace's backpack to make sure she doesn't have any leftovers from her fall party. It's a cruel, cruel world.

Hurry! Find a Walgreens or something! You know they've got Halloween candy for, like, 75% off!

I've eaten A LOT of it myself!

It IS a bummer. We're sending our excess to the Soldiers tomorrow - and I'm already bummed we woln't have any extra for me to sneak around!

And LOVE the new photo/header of the girls!

Consider it a good thing. I have absolutely no will power to resist eating small piece of candy here and there. Yesterday I realized that I ate no real food all day up until dinner time. All I ate was candy. Now I have to go "work it off". Not to mention I'm setting a really bad example for the kiddos. Maybe having sickness over Halloween will give you guys a "no-sickness pass" for Thanksgiving and Christmas. One can only hope!
