people, I'm back

from Charleston, and it was good, very good. If I had to describe my trip with one word that word would be food (followed closely by afternoon naps and walking). And let me tell you, thank god for the walking because otherwise I would not have been able to button my pants: the food, the FOOD, THE FOOD. Yes, we came, we ate, and we left. I think forevermore I will mark a vacation's success by the amount of dessert and cocktails consumed. My one regret? That I didn't have buttermilk pound cake for dessert at breakfast. Yep, you read that right, dessert for breakfast (well rather, after my breakfast of eggs benedict ala Charleston with crab cakes and fried green tomatoes). Of course, I had no room for dessert after breakfast (and I didn't feel the least bit relieved after our death march around the city--it was hot).

I have no word from Sarah, so she either left the airport to become a permanent food taster at S.N.O.B. or was stuck somewhere on the eastern seaboard because of rain or she's searching Boston for coffee. I hope it's the first option.

Glad to hear you had a good R&R - isn't SNOB good? We loved it. Sounds like you and Sarah did some joint training with all the walking/trotting?

glad you guys had a great trip! sorry mike called to see if you guys could go over the will stuff later - this house is out of control from the construction to fix the hail damage from last year... hopefully it will all be over soon and then maybe mary poppins can visit our house and clean it from top to bottom???!!! the drywall dust, sawdust, construction debris, etc... are coating EVERYTHING!
hope you guys had a good night, thanks for understanding about mike helping w/ getting the girls to bed and getting some of the mess in the girls rooms cleaned up enough for them to sleep!

Oooh... Charleston is actually at the top of my list for our anniversary trip in July. We need to book our trip soon. I just need to decide... Charleston or Savannah.

Charleston, as in SC!? You mean we were there at the same time? LOL I just got back on the 3rd :) went there when Joe reported in to the air force base and we went house hunting! How funny we were both there at the same time!
