School was cancelled today due to ice. The streets are nearly empty, except for a few brave souls who have fishtailed down the street in front of our house, and Grace and Julia got us out of bed this morning with, "Mom, Dad, there's a car that just slid down the hill and hit the curb!" Their enthusiasm is due, in part, to a video we watched on weather.com last night where cars in CO crashed into each other and the curb.
As we searched through other videos, I was surprised to find one from my hometown entitled "Waves Produce Icy Wonderland". Memories, people. This brings back many. Our snow/ice days were epic.

Wow! I bet you do not see much of that ice in Macon...hope the girls likes their free day.
We are due to get 3 to 6 in. of snow here on Tuesday..wish the girls could come and build a snowman and go sledding.
